Welcome
"Life is a journey, not a destination."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am a Clinical Family Therapist and Psychologist with 27 years of experience, and a passion for understanding others and supporting individuals, couples and families as they travel through life on their unique journey.
My approach creates opportunities to consider your individual experience, the importance of your relationships, and the significance of the big picture of life to create a full, holistic understanding.
I take a collaborative approach, focusing on strengths, resources, capabilities, and what is going well, as well as what is bringing a person for support and counseling. This helps create opportunities and possibilities for wellbeing and for moving through life's changes and challenges.
I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families and always consider a person's important relationships. Why consider relationships? Relationships can support wellbeing, and assist in healing and thriving in life.
Relationships can also be a source of stress, and a family systems perspective is helpful in working out how to navigate balancing individuality and connection, especially when there are relationships tensions, and how to improve communication and problem solving. A family systems perspective also helps to understand how family legacies and life experiences influence a person and empowers people to become more intentional and choose what type of person they would like to be, how they would like to live and what legacy they would like to pass on to their children.
Many people face changes and challenges in life and my passion is to help people grow, connect, and thrive
on life's unique journey.
